Veronese vase by Seguso vetri d’arte, Murano 1939

The widely applied denomination of this vase -“Veronese”- refers to a 16^th century painting by Paolo Veronese “Annunciazione” (Galleria dell’Academia, Venice) on which it is reproduced. The model proved immensely popular and was offered by many 20^th century Murano glass factories in a variety of techniques.
